Argon welder wanted in Calderdale

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Calderdale, England. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
