Join our team: precision welder (Georgia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Harris County, Georgia. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
