Banksman — Van Zandt County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Van Zandt County, Texas. The job is at a shipyard. You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams The role involves: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
