Counter butcher — Cambridgeshire

Join our team: we are hiring a counter butcher in Cambridgeshire, England. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Day-to-day duties: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Season and marinate meat on request • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts What we are looking for: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
