Elevator service technician • Cabarrus County, North Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. The job is on a lift modernisation project. The role involves rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
