We are recruiting: rebar fixer (Connecticut)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
