Foundry labourer wanted in Washington County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Washington County, Arkansas. You will be based on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
