Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Kurfi, Katsina State. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear 5+ years on the tools preferred.
