Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Harrison County, Mississippi. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Your main tasks: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Six days a week, one day off.
