Fabricator-welder — Marshall County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Marshall County, West Virginia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Part-time with flexible hours.
