Urgent requirement: moulder (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Blanco County, Texas. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
