Steel fixer — Lake County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Lake County, Illinois. The job is at a high-rise construction project. Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire The role involves check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $240 per day, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends.
