Immediate opening: we are hiring a quality checker in Putnam County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items; calibrate and verify hand gauges before each shift; inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting; check visually for scratches, dents, burrs and colour variation; check packaging, labelling and barcode accuracy before dispatch; verify dimensions against the tolerance limits on the technical drawing. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of AQL sampling and tolerance limits • Confident using vernier callipers, micrometers and gauges • Good eyesight and colour vision for visual inspection Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience.
