Ironing operator — Newport

Great opportunity: we are hiring an ironing operator in Newport, Wales. You will be based in a busy laundry. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets The role involves: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number Pay around £3,000 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
