Now hiring: pipe TIG welder (England)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in West Sussex, England. You will be based on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work The role involves: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Performance bonus on top of base pay.
