Hand presser wanted in City of Danville

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in City of Danville, Virginia. You will work at a dry cleaner's. Day to day you will give each garment a final press before packing; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
