Sample machinist — Missoula County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Missoula County, Montana. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
