Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Butler County, Missouri. The job is on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day to day you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
