You should have: • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • Own set of hand tools • Confident using diagnostic scan tools The role involves: • Trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems • Estimate repair costs and order the right parts • Replace alternators, starter motors and batteries • Read fault codes and clear them after the repair • Bleed the brake hydraulic lines and check pad wear 1+ years on the tools preferred.
