We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Nasarawa Egon, Nasarawa State. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On a typical shift you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job.
