Argon arc welder — Fayette County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Fayette County, Ohio. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Your main tasks: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
