Great opportunity: we are hiring an uPVC window fitter in Essex County, New York. The job is at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. On the job you will handle: • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails Requirements: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
