Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Cumberland County, Virginia. The role involves: • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances What we are looking for: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
