Hydraulic press operator wanted in West Berkshire

Now hiring: we are hiring a hydraulic press operator in West Berkshire, England. You will work in a forging and pressing unit. You should have: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Your main tasks: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
