Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Lee County, North Carolina. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Day to day you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
