Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in St. Helens, England. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges On the job you will handle: • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances Full-time, day shift.
