We are recruiting: lift installation engineer (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in Madison County, New York. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. On the job you will handle: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate 2+ years on the tools preferred.
