TIG welder • Orange County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in Orange County, New York. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces You will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
