Immediate opening: GTAW welder (North Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Transylvania County, North Carolina. The role involves: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 5+ years on the tools preferred.
