Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Terry County, Texas. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day-to-day duties: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits.
