GTAW welder wanted in Boone County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Boone County, Iowa. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work On a typical shift you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
