Foundry labourer • Oxford County, Maine

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Oxford County, Maine. You will work on the moulding line. The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
