On a typical shift you will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; assemble column and beam cages on the bench. Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling 1+ years on the tools preferred.
