Fabricator-welder — Mubi South

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Mubi South, Adamawa State. Day to day you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
