Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Davidson County, North Carolina. You will be based at a power plant. Day to day you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; read lift plans and method statements before starting; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
