Immediate opening: we are hiring a finishing plasterer in Chesterfield County, Virginia. You will be based in an occupied house during renovation. Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish The role involves apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls; dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming; skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork; mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency; dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings.
