Great opportunity: tailor machinist (Georgia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Newton County, Georgia. Day to day you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
