Elevator repair technician — Essex County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Essex County, New Jersey. You will be based on a lift modernisation project. You should have: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics Day-to-day duties: • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators 1+ years on the tools preferred.
