Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Delta County, Colorado. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding.
