Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Austin County, Texas. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. What we are looking for: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Your main tasks: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
