Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Wayne County, North Carolina. You will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
