Urgent requirement: we are hiring a baker in Sussex County, New Jersey. You will be based at an in-store supermarket bakery. The role involves: • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Food handler / hygiene certificate At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
