Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Wayne County, Iowa. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant.
