Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Cass County, Michigan. The job is on an industrial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Part-time with flexible hours.
