Immediate opening: milling machine operator (California)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a milling machine operator in San Bernardino County, California. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. What we are looking for: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade The role involves: • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
