Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Loup County, Nebraska. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces 1+ years on the tools preferred. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
