Dogger — City of Petersburg

Join our team: we are hiring a dogger in City of Petersburg, Virginia. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. You will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
