Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Kendall County, Illinois. On a typical shift you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Six days a week, one day off.
