Immediate opening: steel fixing chargehand (Ohio)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Paulding County, Ohio. You will work on a busy residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
