Great opportunity: vertical transportation technician (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Scott County, Iowa. You will work in a residential tower block. The role involves set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
